Description
66% MERLOT, 18% CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 12% CABERNET FRANC 4% MALBEC
A deep, dark ruby-red colour with purple highlights. Very expressive black fruit aromas emerge from the glass: blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry mixed with notes of cedar and leather, underpinned by hints of spice and vanilla. On the palate, the round, velvety entry gives way to an intense tannic structure, revealing the power and concentration of this 2018. Silky and well-integrated, the tannins are beautifully textured, leading to a long, intense finish. A perfect match for red meats, game or mature cheeses.
The vines, with an average age of 25 years, are grown on a shallow clay and limestone plateau, providing complexity and richness. The surrounding biodiversity and soils provide ideal growing conditions.
91 points - James Suckling -Aromas of smoked meat, black cherries, green olives, walnut husk and dried herbs on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Succulent, savory finish. Drink or hold.
