Boutique winery located in Wairarapa region of New Zealand. Handpicked and handcrafted Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and other varietals. Small producer of unique and excellent New Zealand wines. The Martinborough/Wairarapa region is known for small producers of extremely high quality Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris as well as other varietals. StoneCutter is looking to develop a small number of relationships with importers/distributors interested in unique boutique wines.
Stonecutter was planted 1995. The first vintage in 1999 indicated a special terrior of the 3 plus hectare block, with wines of exuberant taste. The superb terrior of Stonecutter Vineyard has produced a sequence of wines of consistently excellent quality.
StoneCutter Estate Wines of Martinborough honours the river that thousands of years ago, formed the Martinborough Terrace; pays tribute to the pioneers who planted the first vineyards of Martinborough; and celebrates our people, who today hand tend our vines from grape to glass.
The town of Martinborough is the heart of the Wairarapa wine trail and Wellington Wine Country. As one of the many boutique wineries, we welcome visitors to both out Martinborough Vineyard and accommodation facility. Join our popular Wine Tips and Tricks Tour, sample delicious Martinborough Pinot Noir, and make the most of your visit to New Zealand's Wellington Wine Country.
StoneCutter is a boutique vineyard specialising in Pinot Noir, Merlot and Pinot Gris. Rounding out the range are StoneCutter’s wonderful Topaz (Gerwertz/Sav Blanc aperitif blend), and Amber (Late Harvest Pinot Gris). Stonecutter's philosophy is to lightly crop from well-tended vines, producing fruit and wines with intense flavour. StoneCutter produces superbly flavoured, hand crafted Martinborough wine, created to be enjoyed and savoured with friends and family.
