UMAMU is inspired by balance and contentment. These values reflect the balance we seek on the journey from vine to wine. UMAMU Estate is produced from our family vineyard in Margaret River with vines first planted in 1978. We place a strong emphasis on allowing our vineyard to express itself naturally while striving to achieve balance in the ecosystem. We work with what each different season presents us and provide the best environment for each vine to produce balanced fruit for our desired wine styles. We produce the classic blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, Chardonnay, Cabernet Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz as well as a fine Sparkling Chardonnay. UMAMU is rated a 5 Star producer by Australia’s most respected wine critic.  We have achieved 12 Gold Medals across our portfolio over the last seven years, with reviews from Julia Harding MW of Jancis Robinson and Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW of The Wine Advocate and James Halliday.
