Engelstad was established in 1924, the year after Vinmonopolet was established in Norway, and has been a wine and spirit specialist since 1960.

Engelstad is flexible and experienced in brand management, with an enviable line-up of major international wine brands like Robertson, Cono Sur and Nicolas Feuillatte, along with smaller producers like Georg Breuer, Quintarelli and Bouchard Père et Fils.
