Quinta da Alorna is a wine company of the Tejo region which combines a long tradition of wine production and modern wine production techniques. The property was established in 1723 by D. Pedro de Almeida, viceroy of Portugal in India and the 1st Marquis of Alorna. It has now the largest vineyard of the Tejo region, a wide variety of grapes and several nationally and internationally awarded wines. The winemaker Martta Reis Simões recently received the award of the best young winemaker of the year of Portugal by W Awards.
