A chance meeting at a local bluegrass concert in 2011 between an Englishman homesick for quality cider, and a local orchardist of German descent, led to the marriage of old world tradition with new world know-how that makes Winchester Ciderworks unique.The Shenandoah Valley produces an excellent crop of apples, and four generations of orchardists have been caring for the soil and trees whose fortunate fruit go into Winchester Ciderworks' creations.

​We produce hand crafted hard cider using our own apples at our facility in Winchester, Virginia. We have been in business since 2012 when our English cider maker began a partnership with a fifth generation apple grower and we have been steadily selling more ciders to various States. Our plan is to expand into more States and maybe some overseas markets

All of our ciders are aged at least a year before your enjoyment. Pressed, fermented, and bottled in-house from Frederick County apples. Our signature ciders are in the eastern English style, off-dry and wonderfully refreshing when served at cellar temperature.
