The Freixenet is the world's largest producer of sparkling wines and their distinguished bodega is located near Barcelona in Catalonia up in northeastern Spain. Freixen's products have been around for a long time in Sweden with their black, well-recognized bottles and the product "Cordon Negro" at the forefront. In 1997, the slightly sweeter "Carta Nevada" was launched in its frosted, gold-colored bottle. A product that has the same sweetness as the Italian Prosecco wine, so easy to enjoy! Freixenet is still family owned and also owns several other wine houses around the world. Perhaps the most famous is Spanish René Barbier, who has been in the Swedish market since 1948.
