Situated in the North East of the AOC Lussac Saint Emilion, the Château des Landes is a genuine family established in wine estate in the 1952 from father to son for three generations. The grapes are grown in harmony, in the vineyard providing a well aging balanced wine. Since 1998 the leaf removal and the grapes selecting are common techniques improving the colour and ripening of grapeseeds, thus limiting the yield to 55hl/25 acres. Matching modernity and tradition, the picking is made, thanks to the most modern up to date machinery, its work completed by expert manual sorting in order to remove the few last unwanted seeds or remains. Using the lastest modern equipment in the wine store, the temperature control in the stainless vats is now computerized thus improving the fermentation mastering. More over, a very precise selection of parcels, listed by computer allows a perfect tracking of our products. So Chateau des Landes presents all characters of Saint Emilion wines: beautiful colour, generosity, fullness, pleasant bouquet and especially a perfect balance wich allows it to age long and well.
