Family Champagne House Harvesting-Handling / Independent Winegrowers. The finesse and elegance of a Champagne cultivated for generations in the heart of the Champagne region.
Our Champagne House is located along the Touristic Road of Champagne, in Cuisles, near Dormans. It is based at the core of the Champagne vineyard, halfway between Reims and Epernay. Created by Yvette and Emilien FRESNE, our family business is composed of 4.60 hectares of vines. We are "Récoltants-Manipulants" (harvester-makers, certified on the labels). It means that our Champagne is only produced with the grapes of our vineyard. It is homemade in our own cellars. Everything comes from our exploitation; from the creation to the degustation. This ensures an authenticity to our Champagne. It has the characteristics of the local products of the Marne Valley: fruity, smooth and elegant. In our exploitation, we respect nature and its soils to keep the taste of local products.
Our vineyard is located on the sunny slopes of the municipalities of Cuisles, Marfaux, Jonquery and Châtillon sur Marne. For good diversity, we cultivate the three Champagne grape varieties there: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and mainly Meunier. It is the blends of these three Champagne grape varieties that give the typicality of Champagne wines. The Meunier grape variety contributes to the character and specificity of Champagne wines from the Marne Valley. It is typical of the Marne valley. Its name comes from its twigs with white flour-like ends. Wine-growing Champagne is defined by a Controlled Appellation Zone (AOC) delimited since 1927. It currently covers around 34,000 hectares.
