Established in 1998, Harris Organic Wines is the only certified organic winery in the Swan Valley, Western Australia. We produce certified organic (low or no added preservative) table, dessert and sparkling wines. Organic winemaking means sustainable vineyard practices with no chemical inputs. We do not irrigate our vineyard. Our vines have been raised to thrive on rainfall alone; apart from economic sustainability, this contributes to higher quality wines that have a unique and rich flavour. Our certifier is Australian Certified Organic Producer #10570A. With only 2 Ha of vineyard the Harris’ manage all aspects of wine production on site. Duncan Harris makes several varities of wine literally by hand, totalling approximtely 500 cases per annum. While the quantities are modest, so are the overheads and the prices. Even our wood-fire pot still brandy is only $59 per bottle. Harris Organic Winery is owned and operated by winemaker Duncan and his wife Deb Harris.
