Our winery is located on the outskirts of San Rafael, surrounded by vineyards and poplar groves. It was originally built in 1905 and the main structure has been maintained up to these days; although new technological equipment has been incorporated and adapted, the two-nave original architecture has been preserved, with a third one added, respecting its original style. It has vessels designed for quality winemaking and a room conditioned for barrel aging. VINEYARDS Own: 3 vineyards that add up to 114 hectares. Location of vineyards: San Rafael - Mendoza. Varieties of grapes: Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Bonarda, Sangiovese, Tocai (or Sauvignonasse), Chenin, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. CRUSHING CAPACITY 6,000 kilos/hour STORAGE VESSEL CAPACITY Total: 1,500,000 liters Bottling line of 2,000 bottles per hour LOCATION: San Rafael, in the south of the Province of Mendoza, 800 meters above sea level, offers excellent land conditions for vine growing and the slow ripening of grapes. HISTORY: The Roca family has always felt one passion: Growing the best grapes and making excellent wines. Today, the fourth generation of our family has transformed passion into a lifestyle and it has added the professional profile necessary for competing with quality in the international market. San Rafael, in the south of the Province of Mendoza, 800 meters above sea level, offers excellent land conditions for vine growing and the slow ripening of grapes. That is where our family owns three farms, surrounded by rivers Atuel and Diamante, which cover and feed the vineyards with clear and nourishing waters. These conditions coupled with the personal and professional care provide the wines of the Roca Family with characteristics of matchless intensity. Opening a bottle of Roca implies discovering passion transmitted from generation to generation and all the effort and dedication this family devotes to every grain of grape, in each step of the vinification process, and in the constant innovation implemented by the winery.
