Description
Blend: Garnacha 87%, Tempranillo 13%

Region: Calatayud DOP
The ancient Garnacha was carefully sourced from only the highest altitude vineyards on the slopes of Monte Armantes. Old, concentrated, bush-vine fruit selected from 70-100 year old vines. Yield for the Garnacha did not exceed 18hl per hectare. The Tempranillo was sourced from only two to three selected parcels. Average vine age of over 25 years.
Soil & Climate
Arcillo–calcaire (chalk and clay soils) situated on the slopes of Monte Armantes at an altitude of 600 – 1000m above sea level.
Free draining soils combined with minimal rainfall and significant differences in day
and night time temperature gives rise to wines with excellent color and distinctive
varietal aromas.
