Description
The 'Growers Touch' wines pay homage to the growers that day in day out, care for the vines and grapes. Each farmer responsible for the grapes features both on the front and back of the wine, in order to share with you the faces and hands gone into making these stunning wines.
This old vine Shiraz is vibrant crimson and burgundy with aromas of dark berries, currents and hints of chocolate. On the palate, wild blackberry and forest fruits with rich velvet tannins. Best enjoyed with grilled or roast beef, beefy stews or strong hard cheeses.
AWARDS: 93 Pts & 5 Stars - Wine Orbit
“This is instantly appealing on the nose with dark and purple fruit intensity, violet, vanilla, mixed spice and roasted hazelnut aromas, followed by a generously weighted palate offering terrific fruit power together with silky texture and polished tannins. Upfront and fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2030.”

About this company
At Snapper Rock we source fruit from two of New Zealand's most famous wine producing areas, Marlborough, at the top of the South Island and the Hawkes Bay, on the east coast of the North Island. Hawkes Bay’s alluvial plains, high sunshine hours and long ripening season create the ideal terroir for full bodied reds and it’s become a magnet for wine tourism. Marlborough’s rolling valleys carved by ancient riverbeds and bright, long summer days with cool nights are ideal for the production of crisp, zesty whites and suave cool climate reds. Sauvignon Blanc propelled Marlborough onto the international stage and has ensured rapid growth over the last twenty years. We’re one of a small bevy of boutique producers tending special blocks within the valleys, always looking to unleash Marlborough’s potential, and crafting wines of the land, pure, taut and focused.
