After 25 days of vatting, the wine is aged in carefully oak casks (Taranssaud and Rousseau). After about 12 months of aging, the final blend is determined in collaboration with oenologists Michel Tardieu and Philippe Cambie.

Tasting notes

  • Deep, ruby colored robe.
  • Very intense and complex nose with noted of jammy red fruits, licorice, clove and subtle minty notes.
  • Full and concentrated palate with very nice tannins, good freshness and a lot of length. All finesse, the finish in the mouth oscillates between ripe fruit and spices.

Some feedback

Graphite, toasted spices, black raspberries and garrigue all give way to a big, full-bodied beauty that has tons of fruit, notable purity and a great finish. - JEB DUNNUCK, at Wine Advocate – Robert Parker, November 2017.

About this company

In an exceptional setting, between the Sainte Victoire mountain and the Luberon, the Château Paradis vineyards stretch over 80 hectares in the heart of Provence, at the extreme north of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, in the commune of Puy-Sainte-Réparade. The estate boasts an exceptional range of terroirs that the various owners have been able to bring out over the years. Since 2011, Xavier and Odile Thieblin, who are attached to their Provençal roots, have been determined to add value to the estate and to strive for excellence. With the support of Michel Tardieu and Philippe Cambie, highly-regarded oenologists in the Rhône Valley, our team produces exceptional wines that reflect the authenticity and particularity of our terroir. Driven by a love of our craft, we strive to create unforgettable wine tourism experiences allowing visitors to discover both the vines and the wines.

Through our wines we wish, above all, to represent our identity and present you with the soul of our terroir. We therefore do everything we can to highlight the specific characteristics of our terroir and the different varieties of vines that grow there. Our team’s dedicated work in the vineyards allows us to harvest grapes at perfect maturity which only need to express their potential in the cellar during the winemaking process. It is through respecting this work, supported by Michel Tardieu and Philippe Cambie, that we are able to bring you wines with a terroir identity, the fruit of our painstaking endeavours. In the quest for a sustainable viticulture, we adopted a “reasoned” approach to wine growing. Our soils are carefully maintained to boost microbial life. The wine growing practices used are carried out with meticulous precision to obtain quality grapes.
