Exposure :South east, on stight slope.

Soil type :  Crumbling rocks and schist, slightly sandy .

Grape variety : Gamay.

Vine age : 30 to 60 years.

Planting density  : 9000 pieds/ ha.

Harvest : Handpicking, very careful selective sorting. 

Vinemaking method : De-stemming at 50 %, Load shedding and toasting the harvest. Maceration during  15 days before pressing.

Maturing   One year in vat before bottling.  

Tasting :The nose is fruity and quite gourmand. It reveals notes of pomegranate and candied cherry associated with oaky touches and a slight note of rose pistil. The palate is elegant, fruity, mineral, gourmand, quite fat and offers suavity, a good structure and a nice silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of cherry associated with touches of pomegranate, slight notes of cassis and blackberry. Tannins are currently young but fine. Good length. A promising wine!

Historical : The vines have belonged to our FOREST families for several generations  .

This wine will go : Can be served young, but  Realising its full potential after several years of bottle age.

Serve with all meat, and meat cooked in sauce, grilled meat, and cheese.

Serve it : 15 °C

Aging potential : Until 10  years.
