AOC Collioure blanc
Grape varieties: Grenache gris 90%, Grenache blanc 10%
Selection of best vineyards. Age of vines above 50 years old in average.
Hand-picked grapes.
Direct pressing. Fermentation in barrels, 8 months ageing on fine lees. Bâtonnage (stirring) everyday during fermentation, and then once a week until December. Bottled in springtime. Released after 6 months of bottle maturing.
Nose : mineral notes, white berries and hints of iodised aromas. Dense mouth, saline, fresh and mineral. Long keeping but also very pleasant while young.

About this company
Domaine de La Rectorie is a family-run winery located in Banyuls-sur-Mer, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. Old vines on schist soils. Vineyards in terraces overhanging the sea. Everything in the vineyard is done by hand. A diversity of plots, altitudes and orientations, allow to elaborate large range of wines going from the dry Collioure -white, rosé and red- to the fortified sweet Banyuls. La Rectorie is run by Thierry Parcé and his son Jean-Emmanuel.
