Showing a slow build of power on a silken detailed palate, this savoury Pinot Noir is the result of an assemblage of twelve individual batches sourced from our Maroondah Highway vineyard.
Subtle aromas of rhubarb, violets, earth, chervil, mace, leather, pencil shavings and cocoa nib with a stemmy note contributed by fermention with stalks. The composed elegant palate exhibits strawberry, tamarind and peach stone tartness from ingrained natural acidity, softly spreading fruit weight and sweeping talc-like tannins.
The wine subtly yet confidently pushes through the palate to an expansive lingering finish.

To create magnificent wine, Levantine Hill works ceaselessly on getting better with every vintage. It does not compromise on a single thing. It hand-harvests, hand sorts and hand plunges. Levantine Hill picks as little as 50 kilograms of grapes at a time, foot crushes them, batch ferments and then matures them in the finest French oak. Wines will only be produced in exceptional years. If nature does not compromise, neither will Levantine Hill.
