Alma Austral Barrel Series Malbec
Vineyard: San Pablo, (1450 mts above sea level), Uco Valley, Mendoza. Vertical shoot position.
Soil: Sand and stones in surface with calcareous gravels at 1,5mts.
Irrigation: Drip irrigation.
Varietal: 100% Malbec.
Harvest: handpicked in bins of 250 Kg.
Winemaking: Clusters are pre-selected before destemmed and crushing. Cold maceration 5 days. Fermentation with native yeast at 24°C – 27°C during 15 days. Post fermentative maceration of 12 days.
Malolactic fermentation: 100%
Cellar in bottle: 6 months at 16º C.
Aging: 10 months in French oak barrel of 225 and 500lts.
