Description
Our Pinot Noir refelcts the unique soil and organic farming that's employed at our vineyard. This wine is decidely red fruit forward and highly aromatic on the nose with aromas of rose, red cherry, raspberry, spice and fallen leaves. The body is medium with soft tannins and moderate alcohol (13.5%) while the palate mirrors the nose with juicy red fruits but also with a distinct dried herb flavor. We use 30% new French barriques and age for 9 months in barrel. The bright, lip puckering acidity gives this wine lift and make it a perfect accompanyment for many types of foods.

About this company
Located in the Laurelwood region of the Willamette Valley, Ruby Vineyards is a family-owned winery that specializes in estate and sourced bottlings of Pinot Noir (clones 115, 777, Pommard & Wadenswil), Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. Situated at approximately 500ft above sea level, our vines have a south-facing exposure and is protected by the hills to the west. Our ungrafted 30+yr Pinot Noir vines sit on Laurelwood topsoil on top of a bed of Jory clay. We are a LIVE Certified winery with plans on becoming fully organic within the next year. Annual case production is around 5,000 cases.
