Our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced proportionately from our Heide Ranch vineyard, where the average vine age is 18 years old. The Heide Ranch vineyard is home to clones 7 and 47, which are recognized as producing the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Located in the eastern part of the Napa Valley Appellation, the soils are balanced, well drained clay and sand. This region produces exceptional ripe fruit, giving our Cabernet Sauvignon the bold and rich flavors that aficionados everywhere have grown to love. Food Pairing: to be savored with hearty fare like a grilled ribeye accompanied by an arugula and mushroom salad with a truffle vinaigrette. Wine Description Aromas & Flavors: Ripe dark cherry, cassis and dark plum along with well-integrated sweet oak aromas. Rich and full-bodied with abundant yet soft tannins. The finish is long and layered. Sweetness: Dry Blend: 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 3% Petite Sirah, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec Aging: 12 months in French and American oak Ta /Ph: 0.62 (g/100mL) / 3.77 Alcohol: 14.5%
