The Santa Lucia Highlands are eastward facing on California’s central coast where grapes have a cool temperature without the threat of frost in the spring and sunburn in the summer. This unique climate allows the Chardonnay grapes to mature evenly and develop flavor on the vine, leaving the growers to hand pick the best clusters as there is no hurry to harvest. This 2017 Chardonnay is unfined and unfiltered with tropical fruit flavors, mango and honeydew, grapefruit zest, and butter, with a tangy finish.
