Description
TIHOM Blanco is a sophisticated white wine born from the vision of acclaimed winemaker Jorge Muga. Crafted from a meticulous blend of Maturana Blanca and Garnacha Blanca—two native Spanish grape varieties—this wine embodies both tradition and innovation. Under Jorge’s expert guidance, TIHOM Blanco is carefully vinified with a focus on preserving aromatic purity, aging partly on fine lees and fermenting in Hungarian and French oak to enhance complexity without overshadowing freshness.
On the nose, it reveals a harmonious mix of citrus, fresh herbs, ripe white fruits, and delicate floral notes, underscored by subtle minerality. The palate is dry, lively, and well-balanced, with vibrant acidity from the Maturana Blanca and a smooth, enveloping texture from the Garnacha Blanca. Its persistent, refreshing finish includes a gentle bitter touch that adds depth and invites another sip.
Versatile and elegant, TIHOM Blanco pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry, creative salads, Asian-inspired dishes, and creamy cheeses. It’s a true expression of Jorge Muga’s commitment to quality and a tribute to the unique potential of Spain’s indigenous grapes.

About this company
After his departure from the esteemed family winery Bodegas Muga in Haro, he embarked on this new venture, establishing his own small, family-run bodega also located in the historic Station Quarter of Haro. At Tihom, Jorge Muga focuses on crafting wines that express the unique characteristics of the Rioja terroir, sourcing grapes from his preferred local vineyards. The red wine Tihom Tinto stands out for its atypical blend, where the local varieties Mazuelo and Graciano take prominence, making up the majority of the blend, with smaller proportions of Garnacha and Tempranillo. This approach contrasts with the more common focus on Tempranillo in the region, resulting in a distinctive and characterful Rioja red. The wines are produced with meticulous care, often aged in a variety of oak barrels and sometimes in concrete tanks, reflecting a dedication to quality and individuality.
