Description

Last month we released a new brand CIBELES, to tribute the history of Rioja wines from the 19th century. The labels of this line designed in vintage like Art Nouveau style, which is highly sought after by the current consumer preference, and represent a modern version of Rioja wines from the last century. This line offers excellent price to quality ratio. The Cibeles line includes young White, Rose, and Red, followed by oak aged Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva.

Cibeles White, 2020 DOCa Rioja

Fresh and light young white wine, variety 100% Vuira, hand harvested from 40 years old vineyards. Three months ageing on lees in stainless steel tanks. Early bottling before malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness. 13% Alc Vol

Cibeles Crianza 2017, DOCa Rioja

Classic crianza from Rioja, 100% Tempranillo hand harvested from 30-year-old vineyards. After malolactic fermentation in concrete the wine is for aged 12 months in American oak barrel and around 6 months in the bottle. 13.5 % Alc Vol

Cibeles Reserva 2016, DOCa Rioja

Classic Reserva from Rioja, 100% Tempranillo hand harvested from 40-year-old vineyards. Aged for 12 months in American (70%) and French (30%) oak barrels, followed by 24 months in the bottle. 13.5 % Alc Vol

Cibeles Rosé, 2020 DOCa Rioja

Fruity rose wine, 100% Tempranillo hand harvested from 40-year-old vineyards. After a quick maceration and traditional run-off method the wine is kept for three months on lees in stainless steel tanks before bottling. 14 % Alc Vol

Cibeles Tinto, 2020 DOCa Rioja

Fresh and fruity young red wine, 100% Tempranillo hand harvested from 10 to 30-year-old vineyards. Short alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation and four to five months ageing in concrete tanks. 13 % Alc Vol

Bodegas Sonsierra has always been a pioneer in Rioja’s winemaking industry, as we have shown throughout our history. Our winery was founded on January 3, 1961 and inaugurated on May 15, 1962, years in which wine production became the economic engine of La Rioja.
