Description
The Monastrell winery was born as a personal project of the couple formed by Alfonso and Mavi, natives of Bullas and heirs of a long family farming tradition, where the love of the land has become passion and enjoyment for the elaboration of unique wines. From the first moment grapes have been produced under the guidelines and philosophy of Organic Farming, for conviction and spirit of naturalness and environmental sustainability. The vineyard is located in the VALLEY OF ACENICHE, between the municipalities of Cehegín and Bullas (Murcia). Altitude 850m above sea level. Soil composition in Bullas is limestone and alluvium.
WINE MAKING NOTES
This 100% Monastrell based wine is produced from their oldest vines; harvested when fully ripe to offer medium-bodied, fresh, fruity, young wines. The winemaking focuses on obtaining the highest quality these grapes have to offer both in color related compounds and typical aromas of this variety. Wine is elaborated by following the prescriptions of the organic/biologic viniculture.
TASTING NOTES
Deep-red with violet reflections indicating the youthfulness of the wine. The color is of medium high intensity, clean and bright. An intense and aromatic nose, fruity with a strong suggestion of mature red fruit such as strawberry, redcurrant or plum. The initial sensation is smooth but structured, with an acidity perfectly integrated and pleasing, confirming that this is a lively and fresh wine
