Neethlingshof is a place of rare beauty where man and nature strive together to produce the finest wines.
Stone Pine Wines, owned by the Schreiber family includes the Neethlingshof and Hill&Dale farms and brands. Neethlingshof dates back to 1692 and is distinguished by the majestic avenue of stone pines leading to the cellar and beautiful original Cape Dutch manor house. The enviable soils and micro climates on the estate deliver wines of pure expression of varietal and terroir. The estate is a WWF Conservation Champions and member of CVC. Winemaker is De Wet Viljoen. Hill&Dale was created by award-winning winemaker, Guy Webber. Sourcing grapes from the renowned Stellenbosch area the brand offers a range of accessibly styled wines.
The Neethlingshof estate lies just outside the town of Stellenbosch in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Easily accessible from Cape Town, it is flanked by the Bottelary Hills on the one side and Papegaaisberg Mountain on the other. The Estate’s comprises of 273 hectares - 165 of which boast picture perfect vineyards. There are many natural advantages contributing to the production of these award-winning, characterful wines of Neethlingshof. Namely a variety of high potential soils derived from decomposed granite; gentle slopes and valleys offering a choice of aspects; the cooling effect of the nearby Atlantic Ocean on the vineyards during the ripening season; and an altitude which varies between 85 and 250 metres.
