Visual appearance: Clear and brilliant.
Color: Citrus to pale straw.
Aroma: Intensely fruited due to its youth. Some notes of exotic fruit.
Taste: A dry and soft wine with a refreshing acidity.
General Impression: Slightly acidic wine, balanced, ideal as an aperitif or with light meals.
Ageing: After being bottled the wine stayed in the cellar for at least 2 months before being launched into the market.
Consumption: This wine will go well with fish dishes, aperitifs, and light meals. The bottle should be opened at the time of serving
Advice on aging: Should be drunk immediately. Do not keep longer than 2/3 years.

About this company
Between the Montejunto slope and the right bank of the Tagus river. The name is due to one of its owners, his excellence the Earl of Lumiares surname Carneiro e Sousa. Over the years this property has been handled by several owners, but before, during the nineteenth century it is known that it had strategic importance as it served as a resting place for the royal family between their travels. About 4 years ago Quinta do Carneiro changed owners and we started a whole change.
Since it is a premium brand with a few years in the market we want our path to continue there. We pay particular attention to the vineyard and its cultivation, in order to obtain excellent grapes, sanitically faultless (integrated protection) and in a suitable state of ripeness. Quinta do Carneiro is part of the great wine region of the Lisbon region and, more specifically, in the geographical area of the “Alenquer” Denomination of Origin for the production of Quality Wines. It has an area of about 50ha of clay-limestone terrain, arranged on gently sloping slopes, with exposure to the South, East and West.
