TURRA Wines arise from the will and dedication of two young entrepreneurs combined with a culture of vine and wine, with a generational background. After more than 30 years of experience in the production of vinho verde, this brand is launched as a reference of a high quality wine.

Our grapes come from the region of Basto, being this the most interior region of the demarcated region of the Vinho Verdes. It is from the Roman period that the first records of wine production in this area arise but it is at the beginning of the 17th century that the designation of vinho verde is registered.

The peculiarity of this zone is its high average altitude, being thus protected of the maritime winds. The climate in this area is quite humid in winter and quite dry in summer, giving the perfect conditions for some of the grape varieties that are produced in this region. Our vine yards are carefully treated in such a way that the quality of the grape is transmitted to our wine.

The Turra wine, obtained from the Alvarinho, Arinto, Trajadura and Loureiro varieties, presents citrine and bright color. Its aroma with fruity nuances, turns it into a unique wine of taste and freshness. Turra wine is a white wine, extremely fresh, produced with grapes from Celorico de Basto in the region of Basto. The production of 2016 results from a careful selection of grapes. Our vine yards are carefully treated in such a way that the quality of the grape is transmitted to our wine.

The harvest of this year took place in the penultimate week of September, and before the harvest there was a period of 15 sunny days, full of heat, after a few days of rain. These climatic conditions provided a Vinho Verde of rare quality, enhancing and improving even more the wine characteristics of our grape varieties.

Turra is a young, dynamic and very refreshing wine that you would like a lot. It is light, fruit smelling and tasty.
