Description
Proverbi 31 is produced using 100% Vermentino grapes. The grapes are harvested in the first few days of September and subsequently processed with a soft pressing, the must obtained during this process is then fermented at a low temperature of approximately 59 degrees Fahrenheit. After fermentation, the wine is kept on its fine lees for several weeks, which are put back into suspension through bâttonge. Once this short maturation period has passed, the wine is then bottled. The biblical verse of Proverbs 31:16 inspired our name for this Vermentino. It says, “She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.” Perfect as our owner is a woman who used her profits to purchase and create Villa Splendida!

The winery is led by Dr. Kelly Sepcic Pfeil with over 25 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, having held leadership roles at Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, and PepsiCo. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and maintains a professional network of over 1,000 executives, with a mission to inspire more women in STEM fields.
