Immediately you notice the lovely oxidized red tint. The small edge of aging is also caused by the variety of the grape itself: Nebbiolo. On the palate, the wine has a soft and elegant flavor, supported by acidity and fine ripe tannins. The wine is nicely balanced, round though not plump.
The wine is clear, is brilliant and has light fast rolling tears. In the beginning, the wine is quite closed with light tertiary scents like sous bois. After swirling, the complexity rises and we recognize vanilla aromas, chocolate, tobacco, sous bois, leather, nuts and red fruit.
Maceration and fermentation is done in Inox containers during 15 to 20 days, after fermentation the wine rests for a month in the Inox container. Aging happens for at least 48 months in big barrels of Slavonian oak.
