Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is obtained from the white vinification of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes.
At sight it is cherry pink, clear, limpid and brilliant to the eye. The nose opens with floral and fruity notes, in particular from the reference to strawberries, pomegranates and red cherries. In the mouth it is very fresh, medium-bodied and has a good persistence, supported by an acid-savory combination, then marked by a typically irresistible almond finish.
Versatile in combinations. Perfect for an aperitif or for some appetizers, it goes well with simple cured meats, fresh cheeses, quiches and egg-based dishes, pizza, but also with medium-spiced and fatty dishes.

Giovenzo Srl Società Agricola
Giovenzo Srl is an agricultural company based in Ortona in the province of Chieti, the "gateway" to the splendid Costa dei Trabocchi. The mission that guides the Giovenzo project is to bring the authenticity of the Abruzzo winemaking tradition to the table with an eye to innovation and sustainability.
Giovenzo talks about the Abruzzo territory and values through wine, and does so on the one hand through the revaluation of local vineyards and the passion for viticulture, on the other by adopting an integrated and sustainable agricultural production system, aimed at reducing the use of chemicals, water and energy throughout the vine management chain. Matteo and Denny, born in 1990, are the young faces that reflect the mission of Giovenzo wines. An entrepreneurial idea that was born between school desks and is now turning into reality. That between Matteo and viticulture is an ancient bond, passed down from generation to generation in the countryside of the Ortona hinterland. Instead, Denny brings all his entrepreneurial experience and passion for oenology, grown in Guardiagrele, at the foot of the Majella. The two visions and the two souls at the center of this project converge to offer a product of absolute quality, capable of responding to the renewed needs of consumption and catering today.
The wines of the Giovenzo line are discovery and rediscovery, because they bring the Abruzzese tradition to the table, both to the local consumer in search of typicality and excellence with zero impact, and to the foreign consumer, interested in new and authentic taste experiences, also at a distance. To respect its promise of authenticity and quality, the Giovenzo winery has created the "Ritorna" Line, in honor of the symbol of its city, the Lighthouse, an echo of ancient suggestions and legends, which dominates the historic port of Ortona. The Ritorna line has 3 DOC wines and 1 IGT wine that represent the summary of the Abruzzo winemaking tradition. Montepulciano red with an intense and decisive character; the Cerasuolo rosé, fresh and clear like the waters of the Theatine coast; the white Cococciola IGT with fruity and intriguing notes; the balanced and delicate Trebbiano, with its typical straw yellow hue. All distinctive products of the land from which they take shape, inspiration and character. The wines are all branded SQNPI (Integrated Production National Quality System), that is, made through a production process that combines good agronomic practices with a sustainable use of fertilizers and phytosanitary products. The yield of ancient vineyards re-evaluated and optimized, combined with dedication and integrated production respectful of the environment and quality, help to forge the Giovenzo brand, the true Abruzzo wine that finally "Returns" (in italian “Ritorna”) to our tables.
