Color: Ruby Red
Grape/Blend: dry, 60% Montepulciano and 40% Merlot
Vintage: 2014
Planting Density and Training System: 4000 plants per hectare and Guyot
Production Area: Old vineyards selected in the municipalities of Orsogna, Fillet and Guardiagrele. The soils are made up of lands in textures and generally end with a limestone substrate and rocky outcrops sparse. The thermal values characterize a rather warm, with little annual rainfall and very high temperature ranges, a condition that has a beneficial influence on the quality of the grapes.
Harvesting Period: Second half of October
Wine-making Process: When in an advanced state of ripeness, the grapes are harvested manually at a temperature between 22°C - 24°C for 15 - 16 days. The Montepulciano is harvested later.
Alcohol Content: 14%
Refinement: Both the Merlot and Montepulciano are aged for 6 - 8 months. The Merlot in oak barrels and the Montepulciano in stainless steel tanks
Tasting Notes: A ruby red color filled with aromatic richness and elegance. The olfactory world is totally path to perfumes, from the most intense to the most delicate. From ripe fruit to the bitter, from the earth to the toasted balsamic woods, the wild flowers to fruit jellies, to arrive at stadiums of leather extremes
Food Pairing: A meditation wine, ideal with red meat & game. Excellent as an aperitif and first courses
