About this company
Founded in 1624, Richard Böcking is a small family-owned winery located in Traben-Trarbach in the Middle Mosel valley, where the focus is on dry to off-dry wines. Our wines are hand-produced naturally in small batches. All of our five vineyards are steep slope, and four of the five were classified in the late 19th Century by the Prussian government (our Grand Cru vineyards). 95% of our production is Riesling, with two small parcels of Pinot Noir from which we make a Rosé. We farm in an ecologically-sustainable manner and have begun biodynamic farming practices which are being expanded. Since 2012 a new family team assumed management of the winery and began a period of renovation. We also began to market our wines to an international market and are now looking for global importers and distributors.
