Description

Vintage 2012 Coonawarra Premium Cabernet Sauvignon in a Premium Bottle.

Sourced from the world-renowned terra rossa soils in the wine-growing region of the Coonawarra, South Australia, this 2012 medium-bodied, cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and complex wine with layers of flavors and soft, fine, well-structured tannins.

The wine shows a red brick color with a complex nose prominent in blackcurrant, tobacco and typical leafy characters, there are hints of cassis flavors, cigar box, and cedar all combined with a lingering gamey note and would make a superb accompaniment to a beautiful rib eye on the bone, any steaks or roasts of the day, game bird and a variety of cheeses.

About this company

Gen Babe Wines Australia will bottle and label for the United States of America a fantastic Shiraz, Chardonnay and or Cabernet Saugvinon.

My company and brand are new to the US market, as I have visited your beautiful country a number of times and will do so again hopefully in a business capacity and not just holidaying. I'm aware of the number of brands and labels on your retail shelves and have spoken to your countrymen and women about Australian wines and with our casual discussions and their general enthusiasm towards wines, it has spurred me to create a limited range that I believe will suit the American palate. I live in Australia's wine Mecca South Australia - The Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Riverland and have now labelled a few of my own and would like to find a distributor to help me with this task within your country. The wines I'm starting out on are three Reds, a Shiraz or as you call Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. These vintage 2016 to 2018 Shiraz/Syrah are well balanced in flavour from the Barossa Valley, with aromas, spice, good length at the taste and moderate tannins. The Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 vintage from the Riverland in South Australia has a deep red brick colour with purple hues exhibiting complex aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco and leafy flavours in a medium to full-bodied wine. The Merlot surprised me as I thought was going to be good but not spectacular in taste, I call this one the Memphis Merlot as a tribute to that place I love, this is a great wine to be enjoyed now and with its aromas and on the palate of plum, cherries, fruitcake taste. This Chardonnay I added from the Adelaide Hills to my list as once I tasted it I was blown away with it's full-bodied, crisp acidity and sweet balance with a good length, fantastic with seafood and or chicken dishes. There is one more I want to add and it's a 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Premium Vintage, this is an exceptional wine I was welcomed to try and I'm glad I did as this wine sourced from the Terra Rossa soils of the Coonawarra Soth Australia is a rich and complex wine with layers of flavours with soft well-structured tannins, just wonderful with a beautiful steak or any roasts. So I'm seeking interest from an importer/distributor willing to help me on my aspirations and look forward to your contact, from the USA. Paul James Hinkley Gen Babe Wines Australia
