Description
NICOMEDES 2013 is deep ruby red with violet hues. Aromatic and complex nose. It showcases both fresh and ripe fruits, like blueberries, raspberries, plums combined with the distinctive violets representative of the Uco Valley. Dry, full bodied wine, its medium plus acidity gives the backbone to this Malbec which will keep evolving in the bottle for at least the next five years. Long and velvety finish where the fruity nose combines with gently oaky notes, the perfect balance of fermentation in oak barrels. A deep, powerful and elegant wine. Galileo Private Vineyard Estates (“Galileo”), is a boutique 10-acre vineyard that produces super premium and barrel fermented Malbec. Galileo is one of the older private vineyard estates inside the Vines of Mendoza cooperative of private vineyard estates www.vinesofmendoza.com; The property is 50% planted with Malbec, the signature grape of Argentina which truly finds its best expression when grown in Mendoza, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the Malbec grapes used for our wines are farmed as low yield super premium quality grapes. The soil is rocky with loam and clay. The property is located in Valle de Uco, Mendoza and sits at an altitude of 3,702 feet. Valle de Uco is home to several of South America's award-winning wines.
