Bearcat Bourbon was created to fill a void we saw in the market – Whiskey for Women. Brown goods are trending up and women are moving over to whiskey and Bourbon. Bearcat is poised to capture that market, creating a Bourbon-First ready to pour cocktail that tastes outstanding. Our goal was not to create a girly drink, but a TRUE Bourbon-First cocktail that you can serve neat or on the rocks. A drink a true Bourbon lover would enjoy, while being an approachable introductory drink to the world of Bourbon. And though the design of the packaging and the exceptional taste of the product have this focus, we insured it would have broad cross-gender appeal, by making the packaging design iconic and the product inside tasting great!

About the Bearcats! Bearcat is a 1920’s slag term for a “fiery spirited women” – we had a lot of them on the development team! The reason for the name is simple and honest: In the early days of this country, women, in large part, were making the family whiskey. It was sought after “wife skill” to marry someone who could run the household and make the whiskey. During Prohibition times, women were some of the best Bootleggers’, getting by unsuspected. In fact, the women on the back panel of our bottle are two bootleggers’ from 1921. In modern times, there is a resurgence of women in the spirits industry, bringing their keen eye and exquisite tastes to new development and industry innovation – We are here to honor them.

We are a new brand, our first product bottled mid-June. We just returned from campaigning thru the mid-America’s and East Coast states, where we were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reception from wholesalers across the region. We are currently in the process of shipping product and working the market for Bearcat Bourbon in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Kansas and Connecticut and are working diligently to confirm distributors Washington, California and Arizona. 

We have done a great job with placements in Wisconsin, Kansas, Arkansas and Connecticut  - In Wisconsin getting picked up by two of the large grocery chains in the state, Festival Foods and Woodman's Markets (38 stores). This has prompted two re-orders in Wisconsin and we’ve received second orders in Kansas and Connecticut. Connecticut being our first state for Bearcat Bourbon to be placed in Total Wines and More - very exciting! We’ve also been getting great press coverage in Wisconsin (please see the attached below) people are really getting behind the brand story and the great taste of our bourbons. Additionally we have been very successful at getting featured on the drink menus of a number of restaurants, promoting the brand name and our infused bourbons, for the public to experience and enjoy. And they love it! We are a hard working bunch that has a great product, an exciting brand story and are determined to build Bearcat Bourbon in Arizona.

We think we have created a great product that will have broad appeal. An aspirational badge to many, a great pair of ready-to-pour infused Bourbons to others, which are ready to drink – neat or on the rocks. As we say – “Serve it Straight”.
