Martes Santo Organic Whisky is a 100% organic malt whisky from Andalusia. This seducing and wonderfully peated malt whisky is the first organically certified whisky in Spain. At Destilerías Martes Santo the distillation process is slower than most, using the more than 100 year old copper pot still. The 100% malt whisky is matured for a period of 4 years in carefully selected old french cognac casks. Martes Santo Organic Malt Whisky has a smooth, youthful character with a sweet, yet smoky nose. On the palate it is exquisite, peated and has a velvety smooth feel to it. Very unique, quite complex and expressive. Its cerealy profile has been masterfully preserved and the oak does in no way overpower the delicate aromas and rich flavour from the malt.

About this company
Martes Santo is one of Spain's oldest active distilleries, dating back two centuries. Founded in the small Spanish village of Andalusia, Higuera de la Sierra, our family run business began its journey in 1870. Destilerías Martes Santo sticks to its traditions and remains as one of the last active distilleries using direct fire copper pot stills with oak wood. Its first international recognition came in 1929 when awarded a gold medal at the Iberoamerican spirits fair hosted in Seville. In the recent years Martes Santo has increased its production capacity significantly, resulting in broader world-wide reach and strengthened brand recognition.
