Originally Matsui Liquor production specialised in shochu before working with master blenders to produce a delicious whisky. Nestled between Mount Daisen and the Sea of Japan in the Tottori prefecture lies the small but mighty Kurayoshi distillery. Filtered through volcanic stone for eons, soft spring water from the mountain is used to bring this mellow malt blend to proof. Every drop of Kurayoshi embodies the natural marvels and steep history of the land of the rising sun. Kurayoshi means to live well, or “to live the good life”.
