Jiu Jiu Vodka is made by combining triple distilled, charcoal filtered grain alcohol with spring water from Golden Bay’s crystal clear aquifer.

The Chinese name JiuJiu is a reference to “be lucky and make nine” from Pai gow/Pai jiu, an ancient Chinese game now known as Baccarat. Nine is the best one can achieve - as in life, to make nine in Bacarrat, you need a little luck. We made JiuJiu vodka for successful people who recognize luck as a key component of their success. The Mandarin pronunciation of the name JiuJiu is also a homophone for a “long lasting, healthy  and prosperous life”. We want people who drink JiuJiu to have lucky, long lasting, prosperous healthy lives. Finally in the West to have good juju is to have good luck and so we choose a name that has luck and prosperity at its core in both the East and the West.

Finally in JiuJiu Blue label you will find little 8 and 9 gold leaf shapes floating in the vodka. In Chinese culture to have 8's and 9's together is to be lucky.
