It is the quintessential Prosecco, ideal as aperitif.
Production area/Origin of vineyard: Alnè, the area where the winery is located.
Size of vineyard: 6 ha
Altitude: 125 m s.l.m.
Type of soil: Evolved soil containing alluvial clay.
Slope and location: Flat land area.
Training system: Double-arched cane.
Average of vineyard: 25 years, single-varietal Glera.
Yield: 180 quintals/Ha.
Harvesting period: Late September.
Vinification: Soft pressing, fermentation at a controller temperature.
Second fermentation: 4 weeks at a controlled temperature.
Sugar: 15 gr/l
Total acidity 5,8 gr/l
Sulphur dioxide 100 mg/l (max. level allowed in sparkling wine 235 mg/l, max. level allowed in organic sparkling wine 117 mg/l)
Colour: Bright, straw yellow with greenish hints.
Perlage: Fine and persistent.
Bouquet: Fruity with scents of green apple and hints of pear. Floral with overtones of wisteria and vanilla; complex and persistent.
Flavour: It is a well-balanced, fresh wine in which the aromas of fruit are enhanced by a good liveliness. Persistent with an elegant aftertaste.
Pairing: Shellfish risotto. “Catalana di astici” (lobster dish). Grilled dory fillet.
Service: Serve at 6°- 7°C
Glass: White wine tulip to release the aromas.
Storage: Store in a dark, dry place at a maximum temperature of 18°C.
Fun Facts: The term alne’ is identified with “source of water”. It is the place of the first settlements of the population of Vidor, thanks to the presence of a source of water at the foot of the hills.

Az Agr La Tordera
LA TORDERA is a family winery from the hills of Valdobbiadene. The hills of Valdobbiadene are the original home of Prosecco and unquestionably the home to the best Prosecco. Since July 2019 the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are officially the 55th Italian UNESCO "World Heritage Site”. The Vettoretti family have been grape farmers for four generations; until 2001 the family sells their grapes to others and then they bravely decided to build their own brand: LA TORDERA. This name sake is of an ungrafted rootstock vineyard planted in 1918 that we still farm today and is located on the CARTIZZE hills, few km far from the winery. Today we call our wines by the names of the vineyards we farm. We call our style “Natural Balance”. Rare in the world of Prosecco, we are 100% hand harvested and 100% estate grown and bottled. This allows us to make a wine with a lower content of sulfites. We believe fewer sulfites and less sugar, allows us to make an easy-to-drink, balanced, clean and healthy wine. La Tordera believes in preserving the values of hillside agriculture; on promoting family businesses and local economies; on the authentic expression of the aromas and flavors of our land. We believe it is this land, the way we farm this land and maintaining the traditions of this land that make the difference. We are one of the few winery in Italy that has obtained in 2018 the Casa Clima Wine certification: this certificate evaluates the environmental compatibility of the building and its “comfortable living”, of the energy and water consumption in the production of the wines, of the choice of packaging (our bottle is only 700gr) as well as the consequences of transportation. The winery covers 70% of its energy demand by using renewable sources. Moreover, we have joined the innovative Rafcycle programme, a recycling system for label scraps. La Tordera has received many National and International Awards including GAMBERO ROSSO, WINE ENTHUSIAST, DECANTER and its Prosecco is served in the most important restaurants, clubs and wine shops like: Enoteca Iemmallo – Milan; The Sanctuary House – London; Trump Tower – Vancouver; Una Restaurant – Moscow, Aria Restaurant -Sydney.
