About this company
Matriarca is a cachaça produced in copper stills for over three decades at Fazenda Cio da Terra, located between the Bahia municipalities of Caravelas, Lajedão and Medeiros Neto, very close to the border of the northeast of Minas Gerais. If this region is traditionally recognized for the richness of the massapê soil, in recent years it has stood out for the differentiated production of sugar cane.
We have five Cachaça labels, which break the boundaries and bring to the most demanding consumers the flavors and aromas of a Cachaça produced with excellence, by a family that has a history and has produced handmade cachaças for over 30 years in Brazil. In Our Cio da Terra Farm, in Bahia, we are proud to work with five labels, ranging from silver, with Cachaça only resting in stainless steel vats to the gold line, with the drink aged in wooden barrels. The family was chosen by woods of Brazilian origin, such as balsam, amburana and jackfruit! And the result is surprising, starting with the visual aspect until reaching the other senses used in a good sensory analysis. The cachaça lowered the acidity almost completely, kept the sweet aromas, notes that resemble dried fruits. Woody notes and touches of spices, appear in a lasting way in the aftertaste of Cachaça. Matriarch is also the first drink in the world aged in casks of Jaqueira.
