We started Brothers Vilgalys Spirits in 2012 to get our family recipe for Krupnikas to the US Market, becoming the first commercial producer of Krupnikas outside of Lithuania. Made from 15 whole spices and North Carolina wildflower honey, we've found this is a very appealing drink to all types of adult drinkers, transcending the usual category for 'liqueurs.' With a balanced sweetness, nuanced spice flavors, and a robust honey flavor, Krupnikas is easy to enjoy whether a consumer prefers beer, wine, cocktails or hard spirits. 

At 40% ABV, our Krupnikas is also a very versatile mixer. For simple cocktails, it has the backbone to be the main spirit in a drink, and a neutral alcohol base gives it versatility in more complex cocktails. On-premise establishments use it in everything from margaritas to manhattans, and some even use it in the kitchen to create flavorful desserts and other recipes. 

What really sets our product apart from other honey-flavored spirits is our choice of honey itself. Using wildflower honey instead of an agricultural honey gives our Krupnikas much more complexity and depth of flavor when compared to popular honey-flavored spirits which have a 'flatter' pallet, since there is only one type of nectar involved with honey from agave, almonds, or clover. The difference is clear to anyone on the first sip. 

The recipe for Krupnikas is a traditional Lithuanian & Polish drink. In some areas, the drink is called Krupnik (Polish), Vyrta (MD), or Boilo (PA). Many families have their own recipes and still make the drink at home. Whatever it's known as, it's absolutely delicious!
