Elixir d’Anvers, 158 years of tradition - Since 1863, this liqueur is still prepared according to the original recipe using dozens of plants and herbs from all over the world that give Elixir d'Anvers its unique taste. Elixir d’Anvers is famous for its remarkable digestive and beneficial properties.
The exceptional quality of Elixir d’Anvers has been awarded with dozens of medals and diplomas of honor, not only in Europe but also in Australia, Africa and the United States. One of the most striking diplomas comes from Boulogne-sur-Mer, France (1887) and bears the signature of Louis Pasteur. FX de Beukelaer can proudly call itself one of the oldest and most famous liqueur distilleries in Belgium. The production process of Elixir d’Anvers takes about 5 months and is a result of maceration (herbs, spices, ...) followed by distillation and aging in oak barrels.
