Description

Springfield Manor is a 150 acre estate situated at the base of the Catoctin Mountains in Thurmont, Maryland, near the Presidential Retreat of Camp David. The naturally filtered limestone spring water was identifed in 1765 and became the namesake of the farm. The historic barn houses the distillery and the tasting rooms which sample and sell Lavender Gin, as well as Bourbon, Rye, and Corn whiskey produced from the farms corn crop. The distillery also produces award winning Rum, Brandy, and Grappa. Lavender Gin was awarded the prestigious Double Gold and Best of Class from SanFrancisco's World Spirit Competition and was on tour with the competition this fall in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Portland, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. This gin is "delightfully balanced with an incredible amount of depth." The lavender's distinctive floral aroma is nearly perfectly preserved - as it is harvested at peak bloom. Its well rounded flavor is pine-forward juniper with lemon citrus notes which blossom into lavender with a rose-like nuance. A gin so exquisite, it's gentle aroma and flavor can be enjoyed on it's own.
