Founded in 2018, Archetype Distillery is located in the historic Webber Theatre in Denver, Colorado. Archetype launched with 2 flagship spirits: Archangel Vodka and Archrival Gin. All of our spirits are produced entirely on-site from fermentation through distillation to bottling. We begin by fermenting natural grape juice in tanks side by side with our pot-column stills. Archangel Vodka: We distill Archangel Vodka through Marie, our 16-plate copper column still. The resulting spirit is naturally smooth and pure, while retaining the complexity and flavor hints from our grape varietals. We proof Archangel Vodka for bottling with local Rocky Mountain spring water. Archangel’s primary aroma characteristics include vanilla, gooseberry and fennel. On the palate, it is dry with a moderate hint of sweetness, rich body and texture, light acidity and a marked intensity of flavor. Flavor characteristics reveal more vanilla, butter, lemon, fennel, and butter. Archangel finishes smooth and clean. We distill Archrival Gin through Gracie, our pot still with a customized glass gin basket. Our carefully selected botanicals are vapor-infused in the one-shot style to produce a well-composed gin. We proof our spirit for bottling with local Rocky Mountain spring water. The botanical recipe, including teas, herbaceous roots, and floral essences, results in a juniper balanced flavor that leaves a refreshing, smooth mouth feel. Archrival finishes smooth, rich and elegantly balanced.
