Description
Bertoni is an organic certified gin hailing from the heart of South America.....Paraguay. Paraguay is a bountiful land rich in agriculture and natural beauty. As our base, we use an organic certified cane neutral alcohol that we distill ourselves at our own organic sugar mill. We then produce Bertoni by both macerating and vapor infusing wild harvested botanicals and fruits that are indigenous to Paraguay and that have been used by the local peoples, the Guarani, for millenia as medicinals and healing herbs. The ingredients include: yerba mate, star anise, cangarosa, lemongrass, peels from wild harvested citrus, and much more!
We double distill in copper pots and rest the spirit in ex-bourbon casks. This process helps to marry the complex ingredients and to create an additional flavor and mouthfeel that can only be gained with putting spirit into wood
Bottled in 750ml high flint glass with a beautifully designed label that wonderfully tells the story of the products origin and ingredients. Real cork and wood topper and recycled paper label, Bertoni is produced in our carbon neutral distillery and sugar mill. All water is recycled and components driven with steam produced by firing our own sugar cane bagasse. Our waste products from distillation are processed and turned into an organic fertilizer that we then use on our own sugar cane fields

Located in the countryside town of Arroyos y Esteros, Paraguay, Legado Organic Distillery is part of the oldest organic sugar mill in the world, OTISA, which has produced organic sugars since 1994. We use our own organic cane molasses and sugars to produce premium organic certified rums, gins, cane neutral alcohol 96% and other distilled spirits. Our distillery uses both continuous column and copper pot stills for our production. We serve the local market of Paraguay, but also export our own brands and offer contract distillation for our clients worldwide. We have exported our bulk organic rums and organic cane neutral alcohol 96% for nearly 10 years (primarily to Europe), but also have clients in the US, Canada, Japan, China, amongst other countries. All of our production is organic certified NOP (US), EU, JAS (Japan), Kosher certified and Fair Trade certifiable. Our organic rums are slow fermented and thrice distilled in copper pots. We produce both organic light rums and ester heavy rums. We barrel age onsite
