International Designer Takes Hennessy xo to a New Level With The New Limited Edition Bottle 2017

Hennessy is proud to present the new Hennessy XO 2017 Limited Edition bottle by Marc Newson. In the hands of the internationally renowned designer, a dynamic and aerodynamic variation in the iconic shape of the bottle breaks with the conventions that drives Hennessy XO in the conquest of new horizons.

Hennessy will introduce Marc Newson's daring reinterpretation into the new Hennessy XO bottle in markets around the world. A bottle creation as unique as a work of modern architecture, the design amplifies the blend of "waters of life" into the bottle - which has not changed since 1870 - placing Hennessy XO in a modern aesthetic.

Marc Newson mentions, " It is an honor and a little intimidating to approach an icon like Hennessy XO Clearly, this creation has transcended time and continues to exist in a very contemporary way. As a designer, it is important for me to create things that will also transcend time. the bottle Hennessy XO has a wonderful way. what I wanted to do was use design to magnify the mix, color and sensory qualities, as much as possible. "

The design of the Marc Newson Limited Edition bottle gives Hennessy XO a totally unexpected twist. Once he reduced the shape of the bottle to its purest form, the designer chose to repeat his traditional decorative adornments - grapes and leaves - in a wavy relief. These waves are perhaps the most daring design elements ever incorporated into the iconic Hennessy XO bottle.

AN INNOVATIVE PRESENTATION

To reinforce the modern spirit of the new Hennessy XO bottle, Marc Newson and Hennessy went beyond the usual confines of bottle design to create a new presentation of the gift box in which the bottle is stored. The fusion of design between the "Eaux de vie" mix and glass, Marc Newson designed a transparent gift box made of hard materials, which I need a cutting-edge elaboration. The packaging design perfectly transmits the spirit of Hennessy XO, but its simplicity belies its technical challenge. Its ergonomic shape is molded into a complex material more typically used for perfume bottles. This new bottle Hennessy XO 2017 Limited Edition is incorporated into the Hennessy family and marks the first time this type of material has been used in any kind of distillate.

THE HENNESSY XO EXPERIENCE: MULTISENSORIAL

The Hennessy Tasting Committee has analyzed the Hennessy XO taste odyssey in seven different but complementary notes of sense or chapters. While these perceptions tend to vary depending on the palate, understanding and life experiences of each person, the chapters typically develop as follows:

  • QUIET CHOCOLATE: It is the gradual discovery of something familiar. It is the well-rounded taste of rich dark chocolate. slightly sweet and silky smooth gently caresses the palate.
  • SPICY EDGE: A strongly spiced note seduces the palate with a distinct taste of pepper.
  • WOOD CRUSHES: A surprising feeling is felt suddenly, the vigorous reflux of oak notes intertwined with vanilla. With their bold and complex flavor, they make their powerful presence sit down and then disappear.
