Never Throw Away Old Wine Again! Decanter Claimed To Keep Wine Fresh For Up To Three Weeks After Opening A Bottle

Crystal glass decanter has a plunger that forms an air tight seal inside. Oxygen in the air can cause wine to spoil over time, damaging its taste. When pushed down air is pumped out of the decanter, keeping it fresh.

Opening a bottle of good wine can often lead to a conundrum - do you try to drink the whole bottle and risk a hangover or pop the cork back in and hope it does not spoil over night.

Now a new decanter promises to solve the problem by keeping wine fresh for up to three weeks after it has been opened.

The device works due to a plunger which removes air from above the wine, helping to slow down the time it takes to go off.


The plunger creates a seal with the glass, pumping out air as it is pushed down (pictured). Wine can start to spoil when it is exposed to oxygen for too long as it allows bacteria to grow in the wine
