Diageo recently inaugurated the Women's Empowerment (WE) Journalism Awards to recognize and honor outstanding reporting of women's issues. The awards are part of "Plan W: Empowering Women through Learning" launched last year to reach women of all socioeconomic profiles through training and skills development to empower two million women in 17 countries in Asia-Pacific over five years.
