We aim to produce wines of world class quality that reflect a sense of place. We are a small producer and all our work is certified organic. We produce Italian wines with classic Bordeaux cepage. Founded in 2007.

Licinia winery was born following the unification of different lands belonging to ancient farmhouses in Meleto and Mandria. This took place in an enclave in the Calcione Forest that almost completely encircles the winery. It’s thanks to the De Liedekerke’s love for this place that it has been possible to bring these lands back to their former glory, with the restoration of the farmhouses and the crops that had previously been abandoned.

The main building is a unique example of rural architecture: a singular example of a farm tower of a significant height. Sitting upon a single cell structure with two floors and a farming building with horseshoe annexes, it is situated in a prime position on the height of the crest of two adjacent valleys. The restoration works initiated in the 1970’s were undertaken with care and accuracy, the intention of the owners being to preserve every aspect in its original condition. After the restoration the farmhouse became a countryside idyll providing rest and tranquility for the family, and it stayed this way for thirty years.
