Well sustained in the spirit of the charming retro classics, they bring you back to the memories of the youth and light-hearted years. CYCLE is oriented towards people - young by nature, with a scent of style and а strive for discovery. CYCLE is a romantic journey through the different epochs and exploration of the fine wine taste, combining in themselves traditions and innovation.

The brand has been established in 2009. CYCLE is market leader in Bulgaria in terms of sales of bottles throughout the last 9 years. There are 13 different products under the brand Cycle, from a single variety to two and 3 varieties in a product.

Cycle Sauvignon Blanc

  • Type: dry white wine.
  • Colour: sparkling, straw with green and gray tinges.
  • Aroma: intense, with predominant fresh citrus and herb nuances, and a piquant character.
  • Taste: fresh, elegant, with a continuous effect, dominated by boxwood and green peach.
  • Serving temperature: 8-10 °С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: salads with avocado, light vegetable appetiers, asparagus, seafood delicacies, jellied fish, goat’s cheese.
  • Awards: Silver medal, Mondial du Sauvignon 2014.

Cycle Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Type: dry red wine.
  • Colour: dense, grenades.
  • Aroma: intense and rich. Bouquet of black berries, dark chocolate and fine spices and coffee.
  • Taste: dense, elegant, with soft velvety tannins with a long intriguing finish reminiscent of ripe blackberries and sweet spices.
  • Mature: aged in old French barrels of 225 liters.
  • Serving temperature: 17-18°С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: slow-cooked red meats, grilled steak topped with grilled mushrooms, bruschettas with tomatoes and olives, venison with vegetables, stewed lamb chops with prunes and chestnuts.
  • Awards: Silver medal, Decanter World Wine Awards 2020.

Cycle Gewürztraminer

  • Type: dry white wine.
  • Colour: intense light golden with bright green glimmers.
  • Aroma: intense and rich, with nuances of tender white flowers, rose and fresh herbs.
  • Taste: well rounded with a feeling of mild sweetness and soft freshness, the finish is very long and flowery.
  • Serving temperature: 8-10°С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: salads with spicy dressing, goose liver and meat dishes, Chinese cuisine with sweet and sour sauces, strong cheese, fruit desserts or on its own.
  • Awards: Silver medal from Vinaria 2009.

Cycle Pinot Noir

  • Type: dry red wine.
  • Colour: light red, with soft shades.
  • Aroma: intense, dominated by ripe cherry, with notes of musk and smoke and discreet earthy undertones.
  • Taste: balanced, with medium body, dominated by ripe cherry, with a lingering and pleasantly fresh finish.
  • Serving temperature: 15-17°С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: fish dishes with intense flavours, salmon, pasta with aromatic herbs and light red meat.
  • Awards: Gold medal, SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2017.

Cycle Cabernet Franc

  • Type: dry red wine.
  • Colour: vivid and beautiful, with soft tinges.
  • Aroma: intense, dominated by nuances of wild strawberry and ripe morrelo, nicely combined with intriguing flowery accent.
  • Taste: elegant and harmonious, with good structure, with fruit sensation and piquant finish.
  • Serving temperature: 15-17°С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: Appetizers with various cheeses, risotto with chicken and Parmesan, dishes of veal, goulash, chocolate desserts.
  • Awards: Gold medal, Knight Wine Grail 2014.

Cycle Syrah

  • Type: dry red wine
  • Colour: beautiful, ruby with soft tinges
  • Aroma: fruity, with nuances of morello and discrete accents of smoke and vanilla
  • Taste: well rounded, with medium structure, dominated by ripe red fruits, nicely combined with shades of nuts, with a pleasant soft and fruit end
  • Serving temperature: 15-17°С
  • Food pairing suggestions: minced meat dishes, pasta, winged game and soft ripe cheeses
  • Awards: Silver medal, Syrah du monde 2014

Cycle Chardonnay & Colombard

  • Type: dry white wine.
  • Colour: beautiful, light golden colour with gentle green glimmers.
  • Aroma: dominated by fruit nuances of apple and peach.
  • Taste: round, with a calm fruity finish.
  • Serving temperature: 8-10 °С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: pasta and lasagna with meat sauces, curry dishes, chicken dishes with sweet and sour sauces, red meat with light sweet and sour sauces.

Cycle Rosé

  • Type: dry rosé wine.
  • Colour: mild, strawberry pink.
  • Aroma: dominated by intensive strawberry and cherry nuances.
  • Taste: fresh and elegant, long on the palate, with a lingering fruity finish.

  • Taste: well balanced, with medium body and a feeling of freshness and juiciness, and a fragrant finish.
  • Serving temperature: 16-18°С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: red meat stewed with aromatic sauces, spicy dishes of minced meat, winged game dishes with wine sauce, flavoured soft cheeses.

Cycle Merlot & Pinot Noir

  • Aroma: dominated by ripe cherry nuances, with caramel and toasty accents.
  • Taste: juicy, with medium body, and a lingering, pleasantly fresh finish.
  • Serving temperature: 15-17°С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: steamed red meat with spices, grilled meat, pasta with aromatic sauces, yellow cheese.

Cycle Sauvignon Blanc & Sémillon & Viognier

  • Type: dry white wine.
  • Colour: gentle and bright, with beautiful green glimmers.
  • Aroma: intense, with gentle accents of boxwood and fresh grass, and with green apple and bread crust undertones in its flavour.
  • Taste: very elegant and gentle, with a pleasant freshness and an intense citrus finish.
  • Serving temperature: 8-10 °С.
  • Food pairing suggestions: salads with dressing, vegetable dishes, raw seafood and white meat with mild spices.

Cycle Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc & Merlot

  • Type: dry red wine.
  • Colour: deep, ruby.
  • Aroma: jammy, dominated by black wild berries, nicely combined with slight shades of noble oak.
  • Taste: balanced, smooth, with a lingering, soft, fruity finish.

About this company

Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar is the only Bulgarian cellar bearing the inventive Renaissance spirit of the Bulgarian urban society from the end of the 19th century. Close to the Black Sea to the east and the Aegean Sea to the South, the climate in the region is quite favorable. The day-time and night-time sea breezes encounter two local winds – the north and south winds. we have carefully selected three plots of land in the villages of Terziysko, Ognen and Devetak to grow our vineyards and make our favorite wines. Despite their proximity one to another, the vineyards have their own individual characters which contribute to the complexity and attractiveness of our wines. The cellar has 450 hectares of its own vineyards and offers different styles of wine with or without aging in oak barrels, in keeping with the most modern requirements of the contemporary wine lovers. During the last decade, our wines have received more than 200 medals from international wine competitions. We are the only Bulgarian winery awarded with 3 Gold Medals and 1 Golden Trophy by Decanter World Wine Competition in London. In 2020, for a consecutive year, all of the wines that we have sent to Decanter were recognized and we received 6 medals. This year we participated for the first time in USA Wine Ratings and all of our wines have silver medals. We are exporting our wines in more than 10 countries and we are looking for partners to develop our presence in more countries.
